New Issue of MONU Magazine Published: Editing Urbanism

MONU: Magazine on Urbanism is a biannual journal that addresses issues of global urbanism in surprising ways.  Each issue features articles, projects, and photograps by architects, urban designers, artists and other thinkers around a given topic.  Here's editor Bernd Upmeyer on this month's issue, Editing Urbanism:

Jason Logan
Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design

Jason Logan received a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston. He is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate design studios. Before cofounding LOJO, Jason worked for Gensler and the design-build practice MC2. Jason's research seeks to exploit digital technology as a means of addressing the rapidly evolving social and environmental conditions of contemporary society.

LOJO Wins Two Houston AIA Awards

LOJO won two AIA Houston awards in March, one in the residential category for Barndominium and one in the conceptual category for Prism Cloud.

LOJO Called Strong Local Design Talent in Houston Press

LOJO were described as "strong local design talent" in a Houston Press article that also published both the Barndominium and the Prism Cloud. Jenny Johnson of the Houston Press:

"Barndominium is by our lights the most striking structure honored this year....and, as if to demonstrate that Houston can produce conceptual hits with the best of them, the AIA also honored Logan and Johnson with their proposal for a "prism cloud," a finalist in the Land Art Generator competition in the United Arab Emirates.
