The Doubleshot House is a proposal for a duplex housing unit for the areas of New Orleans devastated in the aftermath of Katrina. The idea behind the house is to take the traditional typology of the shotgun house and double it, creating density and neighborhood relationships centered around a courtyard. The doubled volumes are then inflected so that they connect, creating a sense of community around a shared entrance.
